Beams & Framing

THe beams have been one of the biggest challenges as far as coordinating the skid loader rental for single day and having everything ready to go without opening our house up to the elements any more than we have to...especially above the exterior wall with the weather changing rapidly. but framing can move forward at this point now that the beams are in place which is a huge sigh of relief for us.

Moving Forward

It has been a very slow process from creating the drawings, getting the building permit, material planning & staging, and now to the point of infilling back the soil. The next steps will be to build everything above ground and hope we didnt miss somehting along the way.

Its been a very busy end of summer and beginning of fall which the above series of images generally show.

Excavation

With permit in hand we got Mark Sass down to our place to do the major portion of the excavation and driveway removal. Then we can start on the cleanup and waterproofing.

Phase 2

Getting started on phase 2 of the house project. We just got our building permit this week and excavation starts next week. 400 concrete blocks are impatiently waiting to be placed now.

Countertop

Finally finsihed the upper countertop between the kitchen and dining room.
